Implementation of a USB-C PHY Controller in FPGA with Hardware Design

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated student to join our team for an exciting project involving analog circuit design, specifically within power management, signal conditioning, and mixed-signal designs. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in analog design, circuit simulation, and hardware testing, particularly for satellite laser Gravimetrie and space applications.

Tasks:

  • Review technical documentation to understand project requirements and specifications.

  • Design, simulate, and develop analog circuits, including amplifiers, filters, and power management circuits.

  • Collaborate on layout design for PCB integration and prototype assembly.

  • Construct and execute test setups to evaluate circuit performance and reliability in various conditions.

  • Document design processes and testing results.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in analog circuit design and analysis.

  • Experience with circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE).

  • Understanding of PCB design principles and familiarity with tools like Altium (preferred).

  • Knowledge of essential analog components (e.g., op-amps, transistors) and their applications.

  • Familiarity with measurement tools for testing and troubleshooting (optional).

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • Previous experience in analog or mixed-signal design is advantageous.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Strong communication skills for effective documentation and presentations.

  • This position is available as a Bachelor's/Master's thesis project or internship.

  • The duration and location of the position can be flexible based on the candidate's availability and circumstances.
